　　作為中國創(chuàng)意之都深圳的唯一國立科研機構(gòu)---中國科學院深圳先進技術(shù)研究院（以下簡稱先進院），由中國科學院、深圳市政府、香港中文大學2006年在深圳共同組建，定位于創(chuàng)建國際一流的工業(yè)研究院。

　　經(jīng)過十年的建設(shè)，先進院先后獲得中組部千人計劃基地，萬人計劃基地，擁有千人計劃、百人計劃逾65人，獲批的廣東省創(chuàng)新團隊超越廣東省其他高校及科研機構(gòu)，全省第一；深圳市引進海外智力示范單位，國家國際科技合作基地。先進院目前共有正式員工1200余人，博士學歷比例超過45%，具有海外留學背景人員超過460人，已經(jīng)逐漸成為華南人才高地。

　　ShenzhenInstitutes of Advanced Technology (SIAT)-Chinese Academy of Sciences was jointly established by Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), and the Shenzhen Municipal Government in 2006. Over the past 10 years, SIAT has earned an outstanding reputation for translating findings from basic research into industrial application under the efforts of the interdisciplinary teams of scientists and engineers. The wide-ranging expertise drawing from technical, engineering or science professions has now positioned SIAT at the interface between biology technologies (BT) and information technologies (IT) for the 21st century innovation.
